The Nurse Educator is a Registered Nurse who is accountable at an advanced practice end for the design, implementation and assessment of nursing education programs, managing educational resources and provides nursing expertise relating to educational issues within RBWH Mental Health and QUT School of Nursing. The Anaesthetist will be responsible for the provision of quality cost efficient Anaesthesia, preadmission review and acute pain services care and clinical consultative services within the Toowoomba Health Service. There are six operating theatres, 1750 deliveries per annum, high dependency and intensive care. The Department of Anaesthesia’s current medical establishment is 11 specialists, including the Director Visiting Medical Specialist, 7 Registrars / PHOs and 2 Residents. The Department is accredited for training of registrars with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
